I spent the majority of my professional career immersed in the realm of visual art, but I took a break for a few years to devote more time to my family and other personal problems that required my attention. I'm currently working to reenter and establish a new presence in the art world.

In order to stay up-to-date with contemporary artistic techniques throughout my teaching career, I continued my education through workshops and seminars with other art professionals. My objective is to create new ways to communicate good energy and beauty via my unique perspective by fusing my life experiences with the various art mediums and skills I have acquired.

Studio Artist

I create expansive, vivid paintings that evoke memories, the outdoors, and happy objects.  Text from old prayers and poems can be found in many works.  I also produce modest, useful and ornamental clay pieces.   I want my art to appeal to a more reflective, quieter element of our life and to contrast the impersonal modern technology world in which many of us find ourselves, such as artificial intelligence.   Some lovely homes and businesses have been decorated with my artwork. You may find more examples of my work and details about me on my website, www.judiejacobs.com, and

My studio/gallery at Tula Art Center, a large warehouse complex in Atlanta that housed several prominent Atlanta artists and galleries provided me with opportunities to participate in various local art shows and events.  Representation by local galleries placed my work in several private and corporate collections.

I created and marketed line of porcelain jewelry through the Atlanta Apparel and Gift Markets.

My work evolved into large ceramic relief sculptures, paintings and encaustic art marketed by several Atlanta galleries—Portfolio Gallery, Abstein Gallery, Opus One Gallery, Thomas Deans Fine Art, Huff Harrington Gallery, Frameworks Gallery.
